UTS, available for Android devices, enables users to effortlessly purchase train tickets. This innovative app offers a seamless experience by providing digital tickets that can be easily accessed on your mobile device, although traditional paper tickets are also an option.
To get started with UTS, users need to register their personal information, including their name, cell phone number, gender, date of birth, and a password. Upon completing the registration process, users are automatically provided with a Railway Wallet at no cost. The Railway Wallet serves as a virtual wallet to store funds for ticket purchases.
Recharging the Railway Wallet is a breeze, as users can visit any UTS office or access the official website to add funds and buy the desired ticket. UTS offers a variety of ticket options, including the Journey Ticket, Season Ticket, and Platform Ticket (available only at specific stations),catering to different travel needs.
It's important to note that UTS currently only allows the purchase of tickets for the current date; advance bookings are not available through the application. Furthermore, an internet connection is required to use UTS and purchase tickets digitally.
While UTS primarily offers digital tickets, users also have the option to request a paper ticket. In such cases, an ID will be provided, allowing users to print their ticket from any ATVM/Co-TVM machine available at the station.
